Frequently Asked Questions
What does it do?
Uplogpro replaces your floor traffic log, appointment log, and phone log. All of this data is entered into the application, instead of being manually logged by hand. Now that all of your dealership's sales activity data is in there, you have a dynamic reporting tool that tracks sales and sales activities and pace, and can be filtered by salesperson or manager as well as source or location of your customers. You can see history, spot trends and identify strengths and weaknesses.
How does it help my dealership?
Now you can easily see how many ups a given salesperson or the whole department has MTD, or in the past 30, 60, or 90 days. You will know many test-drives, write-ups, sales and turns. This makes "one on ones" with your salespeople and sales meetings with everyone much more productive, as you can focus on what specifically needs the most improvement. View a manager's sales by front end or back end, as well as new, used or both and see who has the most deals on the CIT and for how long. See which Desk Manager has the best numbers and with which closer and F&I. You may make a couple of shift changes right away once you see the big picture. There are dozens of ways that this program can influence your dealership every day. You will plan all of your training and marketing around it, change policies because of what you now know, and perhaps even adjust your spiff and bonus programs once you know what''s really going on. That's the power to turn the dial!
Do I have to enter everything on every log page?
No! The sales person logs an "up". Once that's done, and that up is "sold" everything is automatically transferred to the Soldlog. The Desk manager enters the profit amounts and F&I, and it's again automatically transferred to the CIT.
How does the CIT work?
Sold car deals are automatically entered here. There is a time and date stamp that cannot be changed. The status of the deal is changed from the pulldown menu and eventually a bank is selected. The deal stays on the CIT and its total contract amount is factored into the total until that deal is funded or unwound.
Is there a CD?
Nope. Uplogpro is an online web application that can be accessed anytime, from anywhere. Your data is stored on a secure server, and all updates to the application are done on our end.
Is Uplogpro a CRM tool?
No, but it can be used very effectively for follow-up, as all of the customer's contact information is stored, as well as when he has been in or called the dealership, if he has test driven or written up, who created and last modified the entry, etc. There is a deal notes interface that can be updated as contacts are made.
How long before I'm up and running?
Immediately! Say the word and our expert staff will assist you in getting set up and getting your people entered in to your new system, as well as a thorough explanation all of the features of Uplogpro.
Can I have a demonstration in my Dealership?
Absolutely. Depending on the location and itinerary of our Dealer Relations Managers, this can usually happen fairly quickly. A live online demonstration and Q&A can usually happen right away.
Is there a lengthy contract?
Usually a year is preferred, but month to month arrangements can be made also. Once you are using all of Uplogpro's powerful features, you won't want to cancel it.
How can it help me with marketing strategy?
View 30, 60, or 90 days of traffic and filter it by "Source" to see where your ups are coming from. Uplogpro's dynamic source tool allows you to add and remove your own sources, so you can add one for "Event Sale" or "Subprime Mailer" or whatever you wish and track the effectiveness of those events. Filter your traffic by "City" to see where your people are coming from.
What banks are in the CIT?
A fairly standard list of popular lenders is preloaded, but you can add and remove any local banks and credit unions that you wish.
What's in the "Result" pulldown menu in the Uplog?
It comes preloaded with "No Close", "NWTG" (no way to go), Check Out (Try to get approved), Set Appt, and Sold. You may add any other type of result that you wish, as terminology varies by dealership. In our store, for example, we have "Broomed" (Did not turn or write-up the customer)
What's in the "Status" pulldown menu in the CIT?
It comes preloaded with "Submitted", "Sent to Lender", "Needs to Resign", "Needs Stips", "Unwind" and "Funded". Of course you may add and remove your own contract statuses as needed in you Dealership.
How much does it cost?
It varies a little depending on the
number of users in your store, and how many stores you have, but
it's generally less than half a car deal per month.
